All dogs need to work, however, if you purchased a true working breed dog - you better get ready to fulfill that work drive! Max simply needed more challenge - both physically and mentally. That's why he was creating his own jobs. If we don't create healthy jobs that make us happy, they will make their own jobs and we probably won't like them.
